Arabella was born in Shanghai, China, in the year of 2001. As a little girl, she was extremely sensitive to the world surrounding her, and was reflective of relationships and society issues. She started writing her own stories almost everyday in the middle of the night. In high school, she
discovered a way that she could make the voices unheard in society be heard in a powerful medium—films. With her first work of Self-Redemption, she began her film journey.
 

During the years she was attending film school in USC, she was able to develop many shorts that concern the relationship between people, meanings of death, and sensitive exploration of the characters’ internal worlds, especially those within the female characters.
 

Other than writing her own scripts and directing, she also had experience with doing production sound and post sound design. She discovered the beauty of sound during her years in USC, and has been working on different feature sets and short films as both sound recordist and sound designer.
